AIDAnova Rescues Four from Burning Boat in Skagerrak

A fishing boat caught fire in the Skagerrak on Sunday, October 18. The four crew members abandoned ship and got into a liferaft.

AIDAnova, an AIDA Cruises ship passing through the area, diverted to the distress call. The ship deployed a rescue boat and retrieved all four fishermen from the liferaft. None of them were injured. Norwegian rescue services also responded. Once the crew was safely aboard, AIDAnova resumed its passage and arrived in Bergen on schedule the next day.
