A cylindrical concrete tower, standing 8 meters tall, marks the eastern side of the entrance to Zhào'ān Bay. Built and first lit in 2010, the structure is painted with red and white horizontal bands. Its focal height reaches 10 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 10.4 nautical miles. This modern aid is located at the southwestern tip of the Dōngshān peninsula, near Dongshan County.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is essential for guiding vessels, including local fishing and commercial craft, into Zhào'ān Bay, clearly indicating the bay's eastern entrance. Its distinctive coloring provides a daytime visual reference for navigators.
