A square concrete tower, standing 29 meters tall, was completed and first lit in 2017. It is located on the west side of the entrance to Yazhou Wan harbor, about 40 kilometers west of Sanya. The lighthouse emits a single white flash every 8 seconds. It features a lantern and gallery and has a focal height of 32 meters, providing a geographic range of 15.7 nautical miles. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is essential for guiding vessels entering and exiting Yazhou Wan harbor, a significant maritime gateway west of Sanya.
