This cylindrical concrete lighthouse, standing 11.5 meters tall, was built and first lit in 2003. Its tower is painted green and is mounted on a round concrete base. The light emits a green flash every four seconds, visible for 10.9 nautical miles. Yězhūjiāo is situated on a reef off the west end of Báishíshāndǎo, near Ninghai County. The site is open to visitors, but the tower itself remains closed to the public.
Why it matters: The lighthouse warns vessels of a reef off the west end of Báishíshāndǎo, guiding local shipping and fishing boats through this coastal area.
