Constructed in 1925, Yùyán Lighthouse stands on a concrete cylindrical tower painted white, reaching a height of 16 meters. Its lantern and gallery are situated atop the structure, which has a focal height of 20 meters. This lighthouse emits a single white flash every 4 seconds, providing a geographic range of 13.2 nautical miles. It is positioned on a rocky reef approximately 35 kilometers south of Dàlián. The lighthouse was restored in 1998 and underwent repairs by the Maritime Safety Administration in October 2012.
