A cylindrical lighthouse, 12 meters tall, with red and white horizontal bands, was built and first lit in 2009. It is situated at the end of a pier projecting from the south side of Yángshāndǎo island, marking the southeastern edge of Liányúngǎng. The light emits a single red flash every 4 seconds, with a focal height of 18 meters, and has a geographic range of 12.7 nautical miles. Originally located on a shorter breakwater, the structure was relocated after 2013 when the breakwater was extended. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
