Location & Light Range
About Yasat Ali Lighthouse
The Yasat Ali lighthouse was constructed in 2011 and stands 32 meters tall. Its structure features an octagonal tower with a lantern and gallery, mounted atop a square platform supported by piles. This platform is situated approximately 18 kilometers north of Yasat Ali Island, marking the westernmost point of the Emirates coast. The tower emits a white or red flash every 10 seconds, depending on the viewing direction. Access to this remote structure is solely by boat, emphasizing its isolated position in the Arabian Gulf.
Why it matters: This lighthouse serves as a key navigational marker for vessels traversing the western Emirates coast and entering the busy shipping lanes of the Arabian Gulf. Its elevated octagonal tower on a pile-supported platform distinguishes it as a notable structure in the area.
