The Yado lighthouse is a cylindrical concrete tower standing 10 meters tall, with its light positioned 11 meters above sea level. The structure, painted red, is octagonal in its cylindrical form. It was first lit in 1979, though the current tower was built in 2009. The lighthouse emits a red flash every 4 seconds, visible for 10.7 nautical miles. It is situated on a small island facing Gukdong Hang, the historical western port of Yeosu. This location is opposite the traditional port facilities and near Yeosu city.
