Xiǎoniújiāo Lighthouse

Fl White 10s🇨🇳Lianjiang County, CNOperational

Also known as: Xiǎoniújiāo (Calf Reef)

The Xiǎoniújiāo lighthouse stands on an octagonal concrete tower, painted black with a single red horizontal band. Completed in 1989, it replaced an earlier station established in 1954. The tower, standing 14 meters tall with a focal height of 13 meters, emits a white flash every 10 seconds. It is situated on a reef approximately 1.5 kilometers north of the Běijiāo promontory, which marks the extremity of the Huángqí Peninsula. This location is about 10 kilometers northeast of Huángqí, within Lianjiang County.

Why it matters: This lighthouse warns vessels about the reef it occupies and guides them around the Běijiāo promontory, preventing groundings and ensuring safe passage along the Huángqí Peninsula.
