Also known as: Xīfēng Shí (Common Range Front)
This square concrete tower, standing 7 meters tall, was built in 2004 and first lit the same year. It is painted red with a single white vertical stripe. The lighthouse is situated on the southern tip of Hǔchóudǎo, on the north bank of the northern branch of the Mǐnjiāng estuary. Its focal plane is 15 meters above sea level and it emits an isophase white light every 2 seconds, visible for nearly 12 nautical miles. The station was originally established in 1974.
Why it matters: This lighthouse serves as the front light for both the outbound Zhaiweishan and inbound Fúdòushān ranges, essential for guiding vessels through the Mǐnjiāng estuary.
