Trilco Lighthouse

Also known as: Trilco (Punta Cardonal, Punta de Lobos)

The Trilco lighthouse, built of wood, stands 7 meters tall on an octagonal observation tower. Painted with red and white horizontal bands, its structure rises to a focal height of 45 meters. This private navigational aid first began operation in 2006, with its initial lighting announced in late 2006. It emits a white flash every 5 seconds, visible for nearly 18 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated on a steep bluff approximately 25 kilometers northwest of Vichuquén. While the site is open to the public, the tower itself is closed.
