The Tabernilla Northbound Rear is a skeletal tower, constructed from concrete and painted black. It was built and first lit in 1914. The original structure was a shorter concrete tower with a lantern, also painted black. This rear leading light is located on the south side of the Bohio Peninsula. It operates on the north side of the Isthmus of Panama.
