About St. David'S Lighthouse
Built in 1879, this lighthouse stands 22 meters tall on St. David's Island. Its octagonal tower, constructed from limestone, is painted white with a red band. The light emits two white flashes every 20 seconds and has a geographic range of 15 nautical miles. The focal height of the light is 65 meters above sea level. This navigational aid has been operational since its construction in 1879.

Background
St. David's Lighthouse is an active 19th century lighthouse sited at the eastern end of St. David's Island on a hill overlooking the headland of St. David's in Bermuda.
