About Southern Dòngtóu District Lighthouses Lighthouse
This lighthouse on a small island guides vessels approaching Wēnzhōu from the east. The current cylindrical concrete tower, covered in white ceramic tiles, stands 13 meters high. It was built in 2001, replacing an earlier structure from 1976. The station was first established in 1955. Its light consists of a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for 17.7 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated about 7 km southeast of the inhabited island of Lùxīdǎo and marks the start of a dangerous reef.
