Sìmǔyǔ lighthouse stands on a small island approximately 8 km south of the Huángqí Peninsula. Constructed in 1982, the lighthouse features a 14-meter-tall square concrete tower clad in white ceramic tile. It has a gallery and its focal height reaches 40.5 meters. The light emits a single white flash every 12 seconds, visible for a geographic range of 17.2 nautical miles. The structure remains operational and is located in Lianjiang County, Fujian, near the port of Lian Jiang.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is important for safe navigation within the bay south of the Huángqí Peninsula, helping vessels maneuver around the island.
