About Sattahip Ko Mu Breakwater Lighthouse
This white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 7 meters tall and is located at the southeast end of a breakwater extending from Ko Mu island into the entrance of Sattahip harbor. Its focal plane reaches 14 meters above the water. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 5 seconds. The current structure, a square cylindrical concrete tower, replaced an earlier one between 2010 and 2015. It guides vessels navigating the waters near Khet Udomsak in Chon Buri Province.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the end of the breakwater, aiding safe passage into Sattahip harbor, a significant port for commercial and naval activities.
