About Satpati Entrance West Lighthouse
This round concrete tower stands 9 meters tall, marking the western side of the Satpati estuary entrance. Located about 2 kilometers southwest of a newer lighthouse, it was constructed of concrete and has a cylindrical shape. Though no longer operational as a light, it continues to function as a daybeacon for local boaters. The site is accessible by boat, but the tower itself is closed to the public. Its nearest port is Dahanu, approximately 15 kilometers away.
Why it matters: This structure defines the western edge of the Satpati estuary entrance, offering a visual reference for local boat traffic navigating the channel.
