Rozi Port Lighthouse
Location & Light Range
About Rozi Port Lighthouse
Also known as: Rozi Port (Bedi Bandar, Bedi Bundar, Bedi)
This cylindrical lighthouse at Rozi Port features distinctive red and white horizontal bands. Standing 25 meters tall, it served as a vessel traffic control tower. The light was deactivated in 2002. This structure replaced an earlier 12-meter skeletal tower. Although the tower is now closed to the public, the site remains accessible on the quay.
Why it matters: Its deactivation in 2002, due to improved pier lighting, illustrates the impact of modern port infrastructure on navigational aids.
