The Rìdǎo lighthouse, built and first lit in 1953, is located on a small island at the mouth of Weihai harbor. It is a cylindrical masonry tower, 5 meters in height, with its light source positioned 19 meters above sea level. The structure is painted white and features a round tower design with a gallery. Its white light flashes once every 6 seconds and can be seen up to 12.9 nautical miles. This marker is positioned approximately 1.7 kilometers from the port of Weihai.
Why it matters: This navigation aid marks the harbor entrance for ships approaching Weihai.
