A white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 21 meters tall at the end of the outer breakwater pier for the Qīngdǎo Olympic Marina. Built in 2006, it features a black lantern dome and emits a white flash every 8 seconds. Its focal height reaches 22 meters, providing a geographic range of 13.6 nautical miles. The lighthouse is privately maintained and floodlit at night, enhancing its visibility. Visitors can access the pier, though the tower itself is closed to the public. This structure is located on the south side of Qīngdǎo in the Shinan District.
Why it matters: This lighthouse served as a navigational aid during the 2008 Olympic Games sailing competitions, held at the Qīngdǎo Olympic Marina, a significant international venue.
