Punta Tejada is a white and black cylindrical skeletal tower located on a headland at the northern entrance to Argentina's Bahía Blanca estuary. It stands 10 meters tall, with its light positioned 16 meters above sea level. The structure carries two circular daymarks, one black and one white, providing a visual reference. From this position, the light has a geographic range of 12.2 nautical miles. It emits a white flash every five seconds to aid navigation.
Why it matters: This light warns mariners of the headland on the north side of the Bahía Blanca estuary entrance, facilitating safe passage into Puerto Rosales and the wider estuary.
