A pyramidal concrete tower, 12 meters high, was first lit in 1949. The structure is painted white with black bands and stands on a white base. Its focal height reaches 35 meters above sea level. The light emits three white flashes every 20 seconds, visible for 11 nautical miles. This station is situated on a promontory that extends into Golfo San José.
