This square pyramidal skeletal tower stands 14 meters tall, with its light positioned 23 meters above the sea. Painted white, the metal structure is situated atop a large rock off the northern tip of Isla Chama, approximately 20 kilometers south of the Panama Canal entrance. Its white light emits a long flash every 15 seconds, visible for 13.8 nautical miles. The lighthouse is located about 3.6 kilometers from Taboga. This remote location is accessible only by boat.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the northern edge of Isla Chama, assisting vessels navigating the approaches to the Panama Canal.
