The Penedo da Saudade lighthouse, built in 1912, is a 32-meter square tower constructed of brick, topped with a lantern and gallery. It is attached to a two-story brick keeper's complex. Situated about 800 meters north of São Pedro de Moel along the coastal road, this light serves a stretch of the Portuguese coast in the Leiria region. Its original 3rd order lens was moved to Cabo Mondego in 1921 and replaced with another of the same order. The lighthouse and keeper's house underwent renovation and restoration between 1997 and 1998. The tower emits a white flash every 15 seconds, visible for 19.4 nautical miles.
