Olavarría Partido Lighthouse Lighthouse

Built in 1914, the Olavarría Partido Lighthouse stands as a 34-meter skeletal steel tower on a sandy coast. Its hexagonal pyramidal structure features a central cylinder, lantern, and gallery, all painted with distinctive black and white horizontal bands. The lighthouse emits a white light with three flashes every 22 seconds, visible for nearly 17 nautical miles. Located about 75 kilometers east of Carmen de Patagones, the southernmost city of Buenos Aires province, it serves as a navigational aid on this section of the Argentine seaboard. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.
