Nosy Lava lighthouse was constructed in 1955 and first illuminated that same year. This square masonry tower, painted white, stands 17 meters tall. It features a white light with a 6-second cycle, where the light is on for 4.5 seconds and off for 1.5 seconds. The lantern room is painted black. The lighthouse has a focal height of 122 meters and a geographic range of 10 nautical miles. It is currently not operational.
