About North Sand Bluff Lighthouse
This round concrete tower stands 72 meters tall and displays white and red banding. Its lantern room is also red. The lighthouse emits two white flashes every 10 seconds, visible for 24 nautical miles. It was automated, and its original lattice structure, erected in 1968, was replaced in 1999 by the current concrete tower.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is located in Eastern South Africa, just north of the Mtamvunar River.
