A round, cylindrical concrete tower painted red, this lighthouse stands 18 meters tall. Its focal height is also 18 meters, providing a geographic range of 12.7 nautical miles. The light emits a single white flash every 6 seconds. It is mounted on a square concrete pier and is located on a shoal marking the south side of the channel in Quanzhou harbor, near the Quanzhou Bridge. The station was first established in 1955, with the current structure built and lit in 2013. The site is open to visitors, but the tower itself is closed.
