About Morro Nuevo Lighthouse
Morro Nuevo lighthouse is a 12-meter tall steel skeletal tower built in 1918. The pyramidal structure is painted with distinctive red and white horizontal bands. Its focal plane reaches 118 meters above sea level, and it formerly emitted a white flash every 10 seconds. The original lantern has since been removed, and the lighthouse is no longer operational. An older photograph shows the tower with brown paint, indicating a repaint over its operational history.
