About Mazarredo Lighthouse
The Mazarredo lighthouse is a 7-meter tall, square pyramidal structure made of unpainted concrete. Its skeletal tower design was completed in 1945, the same year it was first lit. This concrete structure stands in a remote area on the southwest coast of Golfo Mazarredo in the Patagonia region of Santa Cruz province. The lighthouse has been inactive since 1950. While the site is accessible, the tower itself remains closed to the public.
