Laem Puyu Lighthouse is a 15-meter-tall square skeletal tower painted white, built in 2008. It stands on the southern side of the entrance to Puyu Bay, approximately 18.6 kilometers from Langkawi. The surrounding area offers open sea views. This relatively new structure was erected to guide vessels entering the bay and navigating nearby shipping lanes. Although the tower itself is not open to the public, its location is accessible.
Why it matters: This lighthouse served as a navigational aid for ships entering Puyu Bay and assisted vessels near the Malaysian border.
