About Keelung Lighthouse

The cylindrical concrete lighthouse stands 26 meters tall on the west side of Keelung harbor, marking the end of an inner breakwater. Completed in 1967, its design includes a rotating cafe structure on top, finished with blue walls and a red roof. The focal height of the light is 30 meters, and it emits a continuous red flash. This structure was transferred to the Keelung City government in 2000 and subsequently renovated. Although the waterfront area was closed to the public in 2016, the restaurant has since reopened.
