The structure is located on a breakwater in Northwestern Turkey, with a black topmark, red banding, and a black base. It functions as an isolated danger marker within IALA Region B. The Kadıköy Breakwater lighthouse has been operational since at least 1959.
Why it matters: This lighthouse, along with Ahırkapı Lighthouse, marks the official southern boundary of the Bosphorus Strait.
