It features distinctive red and white horizontal bands and is situated at the northern tip of Zhāngzidǎo island. The light source is positioned 14 meters above sea level and emits a single green flash every six seconds. Its geographic range extends to 11.6 nautical miles. The lighthouse is located approximately 44.8 kilometers by sea from the nearest port of Dalian.
