About Islote Horacio Lighthouse
This lighthouse stands on a small islet off the northeastern coast of Bioko, approximately 18 kilometers northeast of Malabo. The structure is a square, white skeletal tower measuring 52 meters in height. Its light emits a single white flash every 4 seconds. The focal plane of the light is 22 meters above sea level. Access to the islet is exclusively by boat. The lighthouse has been operational, though it was temporarily extinguished in 2003.
