A 12-meter square skeletal steel tower, painted with black and white horizontal bands, stands on Interview Island. This structure was built in 2005, replacing an earlier lighthouse destroyed by the 2004 tsunami. The 2005 lighthouse was first lit in 2005 and emits a white flash every 20 seconds. It has a geographic range of 19 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated off the northwestern tip of Middle Andaman Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
