Established in 1925, the current Huángbáizuǐ Lighthouse was constructed in 1996. This concrete, cylindrical tower stands 16 meters tall and is painted white. It is attached to a two-story building that houses coast guard or harbor control facilities. The light emits alternating red and white flashes every 5 seconds, with a focal height of 95 meters. The lighthouse offers a geographic range of 24.3 nautical miles.
Why it matters: This is the landfall light for Dàlián harbor, situated on the northeast corner of the Dàlián peninsula. Its position on a rocky promontory addresses specific navigational challenges for vessels entering the port.
