The Huayu Lighthouse, constructed in 1939, stands as a concrete, cylindrical tower with a black lantern dome. It measures 12.5 meters in height, with its light positioned 65 meters above sea level. The structure features a gallery and emits a single white flash every 5 seconds, visible for up to 20.8 nautical miles. Situated on the western side of Huayu, the westernmost island of the Penghu archipelago, it is about 27 km southwest of Yuwengdao. The nearest port is Makung, 16 km away.
