This cylindrical stone tower, standing 16 meters tall, is painted white with red trim, and its lantern dome is also red. The lighthouse reaches a focal height of 62 meters, projecting a white light that flashes every 8 seconds. Constructed in 1992, it replaced an earlier station established in 1880. The site, which includes keeper's cottages, is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed to visitors. It is located approximately 2.7 kilometers from the nearest port, Guangao.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns ships navigating the waters around Biǎojiǎo, a critical headland near the Shàntóu estuary.
