This lighthouse stands approximately 1.6 kilometers offshore from the protected harbor of Cửa Lò. The tower is painted yellow with its lower half in black. It emits a white flash every 1.5 seconds from a focal plane 20 meters above sea level. Access to the island where the lighthouse is situated is possible only by boat. The light was established to assist vessels navigating the coastal waters near Cửa Lò.
