This 10-meter white concrete tower, built in 2012, stands on a small island off the southeastern coast of Hǎilíng island, near the town of Zhá Pō. Its light has a focal height of 20 meters and emits a white flash every 8 seconds, visible for 13.2 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated approximately 12 kilometers from the nearest port, Yangxi. It is distinct from the Guìshān lighthouse in the Pearl River estuary.
Why it matters: The Hǎilíng Guìshān light aids maritime traffic navigating the waters around the southeastern tip of Hǎilíng island, helping vessels maintain their course and avoid hazards along the coast.
