About Hǎikāng Lighthouse
Built in 2014, this 12-meter-tall, round cylindrical concrete tower marks the harbor entrance at Hǎikāng. Its light, positioned 15 meters above the sea, emits a white flash every 4 seconds with a range of 11.9 nautical miles. The lighthouse grounds can be visited, but the tower is not open to the public. It is located on the western end of the south quay in Zhanjiang City.
Why it matters: This lighthouse serves as a navigation aid for vessels entering and departing Hǎikāng harbor, supporting the commercial and fishing operations connected to the port.
