Constructed in 1868, the Ghazaouet lighthouse is a 15-meter cylindrical tower painted white. It rises from the center of a one-story keeper's house, situated on a steep hill at the southwestern edge of the harbor. From a focal height of 92 meters, the lighthouse emits one white flash every 15 seconds. Its geographic range extends to 24 nautical miles. The site is open to visitors, though the tower itself remains closed to the public.
Why it matters: This lighthouse serves as the primary landfall light for the port of Ghazaouet, guiding vessels approaching the harbor.
