About Dolphin Rock Lighthouse
This cylindrical stone tower, built in 1850, stands 13 meters tall and has a focal height of 11 meters. It is located in Mumbai Harbour, approximately 2.5 kilometers north of Sunk Rock Light. The lighthouse displays four flashes, alternating white and red, every 20 seconds, with a geographic range of 10.7 nautical miles. Its original structure included a round stone tower topped by a circular keeper's house, gallery, and lantern. The lantern component later collapsed and was removed. The tower is painted white and is accessible only by boat.
