This white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 13 meters tall and is situated on a square concrete pier. Mounted atop the pier, the lighthouse reaches a focal height of 15 meters above sea level. It is located on the southeastern point of Dàduìshān island, off the north side of Xiàngshān Bay in China's Zhejiang province. The lighthouse emits a white flash every four seconds, visible for 11.9 nautical miles. Access to the site is by boat, with the nearest port being Xiangshan, 7 kilometers away. The tower itself is closed to the public, though the surrounding area is accessible.
Why it matters: This lighthouse is essential for vessels navigating the northern approaches to Xiàngshān Bay, clearly marking the southeastern tip of Dàduìshān island and preventing groundings.
