About Dandi Point Lighthouse
Also known as: #Dandi Point (Bhagwa Creek)
Established in 1886, Dandi Point lighthouse marked the entrance to Bhagva Creek, approximately 25 kilometers west of Surat. The original light on a mast was eventually replaced by a 26-meter steel skeletal tower. This structure guided mariners navigating the coastal waters near Gujarat. The lighthouse ceased operations in 2019 and has since been removed from its site. Its current status is unknown.
