About Chân Mây Lighthouse
Also known as: Chân Mây (Mui Chon May Dong)
A cylindrical concrete tower, 14 meters in height and painted white with a red lantern, stands at Chân Mây. Its focal height reaches 54 meters above sea level. The lighthouse emits a single white flash every five seconds, visible for nearly 20 nautical miles. The current structure was built in 2019, replacing the original lighthouse established in 2001. The earlier light was removed in 2020 after the new tower became operational.
Why it matters: The 2019 reconstruction reflects ongoing efforts to modernize navigational infrastructure in the region.
