Constructed from stone in 1915, the Cabo Sardão Lighthouse stands 17 meters tall, with its light positioned 68 meters above sea level. The tower is square, painted white with a red lantern, and rises from the center of a long, single-story keeper's house. Its white light emits three flashes every 15 seconds, visible for 21.2 nautical miles. This structure marks the only significant promontory along the Beja district's coast, located on vertical cliffs west of Cavaleiro village. The lighthouse has been operational since its completion in 1915.
