The Barnacle Rock lighthouse is situated on a square platform resting on piles in Mumbai Harbour. Its structure is a white-painted, square pyramidal skeletal tower with a closed upper portion. This navigational marker is positioned in the channel between Elephanta Island and the mainland. The site can be visited, but the tower is not open for entry. It is managed by the Mumbai Port Trust.
