The Tsu Kō South Breakwater Lighthouse was established in 1988 and stands at the end of the southern breakwater. This 9-meter masonry tower, painted red, rises to a focal height of 12 meters and emits a red flash every 3 seconds. Its tapered square structure is made of stone and it has a geographic range of 11 nautical miles. The lighthouse's unique design is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese paper-covered lamp stand, blending modern navigational function with cultural aesthetics.
